First, there are two stipulations: all parties are legal adults, and all parties are fully willing participants.
Second, I am not looking for a discussion of religion. I am in interested in an answer that could span all cultures. I fully believe that the question has a black or white answer. The grey area comes only in people trying to defend their choice... especially without using religion.
One last thing to keep in mind. I am most interested in any perceived benefit or cost to society or the individual.
What about the argument that it causes men to look at women as commodities and not as humans?

I have windows XP media center but it doesn't matter.
I want to install linux ubuntu on my computer but the problem is when i put the ubuntu cd in my computer i follow all the options but i face a problem when i arrive at the partition options, I'm choosing the third option which is the manual partition but the problem is that i don't know what to do after that.
Can u give me the steps after choosing this option? and thank u.

I admire & envy those who exude confidence. I've always been on the shy side. My parents are both shy too. We never really had family & friend get-togethers & I never experienced socializing activities (i.e. going over my friends house, sleepovers, camps, sporting events, etc). I have very low confidence. This is going to sound strange, but here goes: When I walk into a restaurant, and have a seat, I suddenly feel uncomfortable and start to wonder how I look to others. Is my expression mean looking? Do I look sad or happy? Do I look weird to them? It's as though I don't know how to express myself. It's like I worry if others look at me and I can't lose myself in the moment. Another example is there is this girl I work with who everyday after lunch, she brushes her teeth in the women's restroom. I could never do that because that would freak me out to have others watch me do that. I'd feel so self-conscious. How can I believe in myself, be strong & gain confidence? Thanks!
